International Level Football Tournament Begins at Islampur from 16th April

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 14^th April, 2017: Today the sports fraternity came together on the eve of Bengali New Year day for the purpose of Islampur’s first International Level Football tournament. The tournament will start just after 24 hours from today. The preparation of Islampur School Ground is complete. The finishing touch of the ground is now going on. Tomorrow the tournament will be flagged off by the State Minister of Sports (GOWB) cum former cricketer Mr. Lakshmi Ratan Sukla.

Apart from him, the other dignified guests are the transport minister Mr. Subhendu Adhikary, Tourism Minister Mr. Gautam Deb, Panchayat and Rural Development State Minister Mr. Golam Rabbani, State Minister – NBDD Mr. Bachchu Hansda, Chairman of North Bengal Sports Council Mr. Bhaichung Bhutia and other administrative officers. The football clubs from Nepal, Kolkata, and North Bengal are participating. This included star clubs of Kolkata like Mohammedan Sporting Club, United Sports Club. From Nepal Jhapa Football Club and other rising clubs from North Bengal and Dooars etc are participating.
